I’m teaching my first course this Spring semester of 2016. The course is entitled “Introduction to Statistics” and is the central statistics course for undergraduates at UNC (I teach 50 students this semester but there are over 400 across more than 8 sections). For now this page is a repository for my slides but maybe one day I’ll write a few words about my teaching approach (once I figure it out).

Lecture 1: Data, what it is, how to plot it, how to talk about it, how to quantify it

Lecture 2: More about data and densities

Lecture 3: Probability, what it is, how to think about it, and basic probability rules

Lecture 4: More probability rules and random variables
